The regional prosecutor's office took part in the work of an educational and methodological seminar organized by the leadership of the Investigative Committee of the Vitebsk region

The Prosecutor's Office of the region participated in the educational and methodological seminar organized by the leadership of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus for the Vitebsk region, on issues of compliance with the law when considering citizens' and legal entities' appeals, record-keeping for them, and ensuring the accuracy of statistical reporting.

The main violations of legislation committed when resolving citizens' and legal entities' appeals were brought to the attention of the heads of district (city) departments present at the seminar.

In particular, attention was drawn to typical violations identified during inspections conducted by the prosecutor's office in government bodies: violations of appeal processing deadlines; providing incomplete answers; lack of proper control by managers over compliance with appeal processing procedures; failure to explain the procedure for appealing decisions made on appeals; non-compliance with the requirements of the Law when resolving collective appeals, etc.

Using examples from prosecutorial supervision practice, instances of poor-quality appeal resolution, and the provision of formal, incomplete, and unsubstantiated answers were demonstrated in order to prevent similar violations when preparing and sending responses to applicants.

Prosecutor of the Department for Supervision of Legislation Enforcement and Legality of Legal Acts of the Regional Prosecutor's Office Natalia Kolpakova.
