A training and methodological seminar on the topic "Current problems of law enforcement practice at the pre-trial stage of criminal proceedings: combating offenses in the economic sphere" was held at the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus for the Vitebsk region.
The seminar was attended by employees of the General Prosecutor's Office, the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus, prosecutors of cities and districts, heads of investigative units of the region, and employees of internal affairs bodies overseeing issues of combating economic crime.
During the reports, problematic issues arising in the resolution of applications and reports on illegal entrepreneurial activity, false entrepreneurship, evasion of tax payments, and the effectiveness of the application of operational-search legislation in combating economic crime were highlighted.
