The Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office held an educational and methodological seminar on civil and judicial supervision
The Head of the Department, Titkova I.N., reported on the state of supervision over compliance with the law of judicial decisions in civil cases for the past period of 2017, drawing attention to the mandatory fulfillment of the requirements of the decision of the Collegium of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Belarus dated 26.07.2017 No. 2600-04-4/2 "On the results of the work of the prosecutor's offices of the Republic of Belarus for the first half of 2017 and tasks to improve the effectiveness of activities to strengthen legality and law and order" on ensuring proper cassation supervision by prosecutors over the legality of judicial decisions in civil cases, for which there are no cassation appeals. She drew the attention of prosecutors to the shortcomings in the organization of work on filing lawsuits of various categories with the courts.
The need to improve the quality of cassation protests against court decisions in civil cases was pointed out in her speech by the Deputy Head, Sashcheko A.G.
The prosecutor of the department, Tavtyn I.A., осветила the practice of court consideration of civil cases on sending citizens to medical and labor dispensaries and the main requirements for prosecutors' preparation for court consideration of cases of this category.
Assistants of the prosecutor of Gorodok and Dokshitsy districts: Levyankova N.N., Kuchko A.M., made reports on the grounds for eviction from commercial residential premises and the material liability of employees for damage caused in the performance of their labor duties.
The senior assistant prosecutor of Polotsk district, Sosnovsky Ya.I., shared his experience in organizing work on filing lawsuits and other applications with the court.
Practical exercises were conducted with the solution of problems prepared on the basis of judicial practice. Active participation in solving problems and discussing
employees of the district prosecutor's offices took part in resolving problematic issues arising during supervision: Lobatsky V.G., Labut Yu.P., Solovyeva V.S.
Senior Prosecutor of the Department of Personnel and Ideological Work Rybakova D.V. spoke about the organization of professional development for prosecutors in the prosecutor's offices, rules of conduct and norms of official ethics for prosecutors in professional and non-official activities.
The results of the seminar were summarized by the Deputy Prosecutor of the region Korenko G.A., who pointed out that holding educational and methodological seminars provides an opportunity to look more deeply and broadly at issues arising in daily work, to share experience in carrying out prosecutorial supervision of the compliance of court decisions in civil cases with the law. He also drew the attention of the seminar participants to the strict observance of the rules of conduct and norms of official ethics of a prosecutor.
