The Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, based at the Polotsk District Prosecutor's Office, held a training and practical seminar

On 09.11.2016, the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, based at the Polotsk District Prosecutor's Office, held a training and practical seminar to discuss issues of maintaining state prosecution and improving the effectiveness of supervision over the legality of court decisions in criminal cases.

Representatives of the regional prosecutor's office, as well as prosecutors from the Polotsk, Postavy, Verkhnedvinsk, Rossony, Miory, Lepel, Sharkovshchina districts and the city of Novopolotsk took part in the seminar.

The aim of the seminar was to improve the professional knowledge of prosecutors maintaining state prosecution in court, enhance the quality of their theoretical and practical training, and discuss problematic issues arising in judicial and prosecutorial practice.

The seminar was conducted in an interesting manner, as in addition to presentations by representatives of the regional prosecutor's office, actual court proceedings involving young state prosecutors were simulated, and the professional skills and knowledge of the attendees were tested through quiz questions.

Based on the results of the practical sessions, the management of the regional prosecutor's office recognized prosecutors who distinguished themselves by their activity and knowledge with symbolic gifts.
