The Prosecutor's Office of the Vitebsk region has sent a criminal case to court regarding the abandonment in danger after a road traffic accident.

The preliminary investigation authorities accuse him of the fact that on 12.08.2017 at about 01:19, while driving a VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT, moving along Frunze Avenue in Vitebsk near house No. 78A, he hit a pedestrian who was crossing the roadway at an unregulated pedestrian crossing.

         As a result of the road traffic accident, the pedestrian sustained less serious bodily injuries.

After the collision, the accused did not remain at the scene of the road traffic accident, did not take measures to provide necessary assistance to the victim, and fled the scene of the incident.

A preventive measure in the form of a recognizance not to leave and proper behavior has been applied.

The Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office has sent to the Shumilino District Court a criminal case for substantive consideration of the fact of committing a crime under Part 2 of Article 317 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus (violation of traffic rules or vehicle operation, resulting in death by negligence)

A 34-year-old resident of Vitebsk is accused of the fact that on 13.10.2017 at about 20:40, while driving a PEUGEOT 406, moving along the 54th km of the R-20 Vitebsk-Polotsk-Latvian Republic border road, he hit a pedestrian S., who was crossing the roadway at an unregulated pedestrian crossing located opposite the railway station "Lovsha" in the agro-town of Nikitikha, Shumilino District. As a result of the collision, S. sustained serious bodily injuries, from which she died in the hospital.

The previously applied preventive measure in the form of

the undertakings not to leave and to behave properly remain unchanged.
