The Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office held a seminar on departmental control and prosecutorial supervision over the consideration of applications and reports of crimes in internal affairs bodies and traffic police units of the region.

At the initiative of the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, a regional training and methodological seminar was held at the Orsha District Department of Internal Affairs on the implementation of departmental control and prosecutorial supervision over the resolution of applications and reports of crimes in the Internal Affairs bodies, including in the traffic police units of the region.

The training event was attended by employees of the regional prosecutor's office, the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, prosecutors, heads of district internal affairs departments, their deputies, heads and inspectors of the traffic police departments of Dubrovno, Liozno, Senno, Tolochin, and Orsha districts.

The seminar highlighted problematic issues arising in the supervision of inquiries, prevention, record-keeping, registration of applications and reports of crimes, and consideration of citizens' appeals within the framework of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Belarus and the legislation on appeals of citizens and legal entities.

In addition, attention was paid to the methodology of conducting on-site inspections of traffic accident scenes, the most common mistakes made when recording evidence, and amendments made to the criminal procedure legislation.

Upon completion of the training seminar, the participants exchanged views and practical experience on resolving the discussed issues in law enforcement activities.
