The Regional Prosecutor listened carefully to each applicant, based on the specific situation, proposed the most optimal solutions to the existing problems, and explained the norms of the current legislation.
Vadim Sushchinsky instructed the heads of the relevant structural divisions of the regional prosecutor's office to consider individual appeals that required additional study.
At the end of the reception, the head of the region's supervisory authority answered questions from regional media about the state of legality and law and order in the Orsha district and the Vitebsk region as a whole: "The Orsha district is under special control of the Head of State. The prosecutor's offices are taking measures aimed at the strict implementation of the requirements of Decree of the President of Belarus No. 506 "On the Development of the Orsha District", coordinating the activities of law enforcement agencies, and other interested services to ensure legality and law and order in the district. Thanks to joint efforts, the crime situation in the region has improved, and favorable conditions have been created for the everyday and social well-being of Orsha residents. At the same time, there are still a number of issues that we need to work on together."
In addition, he separately focused on the issues of preventing cybercrime and the need for the population to practice information hygiene.
Then, the Regional Prosecutor met with the labor collective of UP "Nit" in Orsha.
For reference. UP "Nit" of PO "BelOG" is engaged in sewing production, tailoring clothes, and manufacturing textile products for household use. As early as 1969, the enterprise was awarded the title "Enterprise of High Culture". Since 2003, new technologies and work methods have been introduced, and new products have been mastered. Currently, 150 people work at the enterprise.
During the meeting, Vadim Sushchinsky outlined
key points of the VI All-Belarusian People's Assembly. As a delegate of the forum, he shared his impressions, gave examples of the most striking speeches and constructive proposals for the further development and prosperity of the country.
“The All-Belarusian People's Assembly is an important socio-political event in the life of our country, a people's forum, during which the main issues of the development of society and the republic as a whole were discussed. We must remember that the Republic of Belarus is a sovereign state, established on the basis of the Belarusian nation exercising its right to self-determination, the supremacy of the people in determining their own destiny. Taking into account the difficult socio-political situation in the country that has developed over the past year, the emergence of destructive elements and phenomena in Belarusian society, we need to pay special attention to strengthening the sovereignty of the republic, further ensuring legality and law and order on its territory.
I am convinced that all emerging problems should be resolved strictly within the legal framework, based on the current law, and as a result – the preservation and development of the sovereign Belarusian state, the well-being of our people,” said Vadim Sushchinsky.
After the speech, the enterprise employees actively asked the prosecutor questions, mainly concerning the sphere of housing and communal services, and household services for the population. Vadim Sushchinsky answered each applicant's argument.
“Over many years of service in the prosecutor's office, a large number of people with various everyday issues have been received in person and during meetings with labor collectives. After all, people often come to the prosecutor with their pain, misfortune, unresolved conflict. The ability to listen and hear everyone, with a desire to help, provide necessary support, give practical advice, find solutions to problems – these are the main vectors in working with citizens' appeals,” is convinced the prosecutor of the Vitebsk region.
Work in this direction will be continued.
