Prosecutors of the Vitebsk region took part in a republican seminar on the prospects of legal linguistics development

A republican seminar was held at the educational institution of the FPB "MITSO International University" Vitebsk Branch. Topic: "Linguo-legal control of communicative impact."

The educational forum was attended by the university's teaching staff, prosecutors from the Vitebsk region prosecutor's offices, units of the Investigative Committee, specialists from the State Committee of Forensic Examinations, the judiciary, the region's bar, as well as the Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, Doctor of Law, Professor Alexey Egorov, member of the Presidium of the HAC of the Republic of Belarus, Doctor of Philology, Professor Valentina Maslova.

The seminar participants discussed issues related to the prospects for the development of legal linguistics and its sub-branch, linguistic expertology.

During the discussion platform, legal scholars considered issues of appointing linguistic expertise of texts in investigative and judicial practice, emerging problems, and ways to solve them. Special attention was paid to the methodological foundations of text evaluation by specialists of the State Committee of Forensic Examinations of the Republic of Belarus.

The theoretical knowledge gained will be used in law enforcement activities in the future.
