A qualifying chess tournament was held for subsequent participation in the republican competitions among prosecutors in the city of Zhodino.

03.03.2016, at the Vitebsk Chess Club, a qualifying chess tournament was held for participation in the republican competitions among prosecutors in Zhodino.

Representatives of the prosecutor's offices of Vitebsk, Orsha and Lepel districts, the Vitebsk Transport Prosecutor's Office, as well as employees of the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office apparatus took part in the tournament. In a fierce competition, the first place was taken by A.N. Zaikin, prosecutor of the department for supervision of the legality of court decisions in criminal cases; D.A. Zhurko, deputy prosecutor of the Lepel district, took second place; and E.M. Krzhisinsky, prosecutor of the department for supervision of inquiries, took third place.

The final competitions were held on 18.03.2015 at the Palace of Culture of OJSC "BELAZ" in Zhodino. Based on the results of the fierce competition, the team of the Minsk City Prosecutor's Office took first place, the team of the Minsk Region became second, the prosecutors of the Mogilev Region became third, and the chess players of the Grodno Region became fourth, with a difference of one point more than the Vitebsk Region Prosecutor's Office, which took fifth place.
