Seminars were held

In April-May 2018, the Department for Supervision of Compliance with the Law of Judicial Decisions in Civil Cases conducted educational and methodological seminars (at the prosecutor's offices of Gluboksky, Polotsky, Orshansky districts and the regional prosecutor's office), to which all prosecutors supervising this sector were invited.

The program of the educational and methodological seminars, developed by the department, included lectures and practical sessions.

At the opening of the seminar, the First Deputy Prosecutor of the Region, I.N. Korzhov, drew attention to the roles and tasks of prosecutorial supervision of compliance with the law of judicial decisions in civil cases, the state of cassation protests, and pointed out that conducting educational and methodological seminars provides an opportunity to look more deeply and broadly at issues arising in daily work, and to share experience in exercising prosecutorial supervision of compliance with the law of judicial decisions in civil cases.

The Head of the Department, I.N. Titkova, acquainted the participants with the practice of applying legislation on disputes concerning the invalidation of transactions. Special attention was paid to the specifics of preparing cassation protests against court decisions in civil cases and their consideration by the appellate instance of the Vitebsk Regional Court.

The Deputy Head of the Department, A.G. Sashcheko, spoke about the application of legislation when conducting inspections on the enforcement of court decisions in civil cases affecting the interests of the state.

Practical sessions were held with problem-solving based on court decisions. Employees of district prosecutor's offices actively participated in solving problems and discussing issues arising during supervision: V.N. Parusov, O.P. Kuleshova, A.P. Skurat, A.A. Kozlova.

Due to the fact that the staff of prosecutors carrying out civil and judicial supervision is constantly updated and many lack practical experience, educational and methodological seminars are held systematically with the selection of relevant topics.
