Prosecutor of Vitebsk region Vadim Sushchinsky met with a representative of the regional newspaper "Vitebskiye Vesti".

The interview lasted more than an hour. Vadim Valentinovich, answering the journalist's questions, spoke about the structure of the prosecutor's office, the main areas of activity of the supervisory authority, and gave examples of the results of the work done.

During the interview, statistical data, specific criminal cases, and the results of the implementation of initiatives in the field of public safety in the Vitebsk region, including for minors, were presented.

The role of the prosecutor's office in strengthening legality and law and order, combating corruption, and the preventive component of this work were discussed separately. At the same time, the prosecutor emphasized the importance of legal propaganda and legal literacy among the population of the region through oral presentations in work collectives and with the help of the journalistic community.

The issues also concerned the prevention of crimes in the field of IT technologies, problematic aspects regarding illegal diggers, compliance with environmental, investment, and labor legislation, the main aspects of the development of the Orsha district, and much more.

"The main function of the prosecutor's office is human rights protection, the protection of our citizens, regardless of where a person is located," the regional prosecutor emphasized. "The work of a prosecutor is daily. Every day brings us new challenges, and we must meet them by honorably fulfilling the tasks set," Vadim Sushchinsky concluded.
