Growth of trade turnover, science, culture, interparliamentary relations. Cooperation between Belarus and Uzbekistan was discussed by Natalia Kochanova and Tanzila Narbaeva in Vitebsk

A meeting between the Chairperson of the Council of the Republic Natalya Kochanova and the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbaeva in an expanded format was held at the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

Among the main topics for discussion are strengthening economic and inter-parliamentary cooperation, developing cooperation in regional, scientific, and humanitarian spheres.

Following the meeting, the parties signed a protocol to the Memorandum of Cooperation on the establishment of an Inter-Parliamentary Commission and a Plan of Joint Events for 2026–2027.

The meeting was part of the program of the visit to the Republic of Belarus by a parliamentary delegation headed by the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Tanzila Narbaeva, which began today. As part of the visit, the III Belarusian-Uzbek Women's Business Forum is being held in Vitebsk.

Earlier today, parliamentarians from the two countries laid wreaths and flowers at the Memorial Complex in honor of Soviet soldiers, partisans, and underground fighters of the Vitebsk region.
