Christmas Intellectual Tournament

On the eve of the Christmas and New Year holidays, the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, with the participation of the primary trade union organization and the regional branch of the Association of Prosecutors, hosted the Christmas Intellectual Games Tournament for the prizes of the Regional Prosecutor.

5 teams took part in the battle of wits. The Regional Prosecutor's Office was represented by teams such as "USO" ("Criminal Justice Department"), "OPG" ("Organized Legal Group"), and "Like-minded people". The "Pollyanna Principle" team defended the honor of the Vitebsk City Prosecutor's Office. A combined team called "Vitebsky Express" participated in the tournament from the Vitebsk District Prosecutor's Office and the Vitebsk Transport Prosecutor's Office.

The competition consisted of three parts. The first part, "Own Game," included 5 blocks of various topics with 5 questions in each. The participants had to demonstrate their knowledge of famous personalities named Lev, recall literary works they had once read, especially their first lines. A somewhat grim, but very relevant to law enforcement agencies, theme of murderers also found its place in the competition. These personalities were allocated 5 questions. The last 2 blocks presented participants with the task of solving riddles.

The second part, "What? Where? When?", included 2 blocks with 12 questions each. Within a minute, participants had to demonstrate their knowledge in cinema, science, and sports.

Based on the results of the first two parts of the tournament, the participants of the final round of "Brain-ring" and their ratings were determined. The teams "USO," "OPG," "Pollyanna Principle," and "Vitebsky Express" were given the opportunity to demonstrate not only their erudition but also their reaction speed.

The host announced more than a dozen questions before the "USO" team emerged victorious in this game and the tournament as a whole.

The "OPG" team took an honorable second place, and the "Pollyanna Principle" team took third.

The best player was recognized as Lutov Dmitry, Senior Prosecutor of the Department of the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office for Supervision of Legality of Court Decisions in Criminal Cases.

The prize-winning teams and the best player were awarded diplomas and commemorative prizes.
