The leadership of the Vitebsk region sent congratulations on the Day of Remembrance of Soldiers-Internationalists

On February 15, we celebrate the Day of Remembrance of Soldiers-Internationalists and bow our heads in deep respect to those who traversed the roads of local wars and conflicts that occurred in various parts of the world in the second half of the 20th century.

More than 3,500 soldiers-internationalists live in the Vitebsk region. Our countrymen, as part of the Soviet troops, honorably and with dignity fulfilled their military duty, showing unprecedented bravery and selflessness. They became a true example of courage and devotion to the Motherland.

We mourn those who died in combat and those who died after the war, and we will remember the military feat of soldiers and officers who, despite mortal danger, honorably carried out their internationalist duty.

Soldiers-internationalists today, not forgetting the glorious traditions of military brotherhood, have found their place in peaceful life, hold an active life and civic stance, and make a significant contribution to the military-patriotic education of our youth.

May this Day be an occasion for all of us to reflect on the value of peace, strengthen our civic solidarity, and pass on the memory to future generations.

Please accept sincere wishes for good health, happiness, well-being, optimism, and success in your endeavors for the benefit of the Fatherland!

Sincerely,

A.N. Rogozhnik, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee

D.V. Demidov, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies
