Seven heating plants of the housing and communal services system are planned to be modernized in the Vitebsk region this year

In the Vitebsk region, it is planned to modernize 7 boiler houses of the housing and communal services system this year. This was announced at a meeting of the regional executive committee by Dmitry Gerasimov, First Deputy Head of the Department of Housing and Communal Services of the regional executive committee.

Speaking about the preparation for the upcoming autumn-winter period, Dmitry Gerasimov emphasized that the region will continue systematic work on energy saving and loss reduction. "Work is planned for the modernization of equipment at 7 boiler houses, including 5 boiler houses in the Orsha district, and one each in the Gorodok district and Vitebsk. To reduce losses in 2017, the replacement of 65 km of heating networks using pre-insulated pipes is also planned. Tenders for the purchase of pipes have already been held, and their delivery is underway," he noted.

To fulfill the task of using local types of fuel, it is envisaged to commission corresponding boilers with mechanical loading by the beginning of the heating season. Such equipment will be launched at 3 boiler houses (in the Tolochin, Postavy, and Senno districts).
