A seminar on the implementation of departmental control and prosecutorial supervision over the consideration of applications and reports of crimes was held in the region

The event was held at the premises of Polotsk State University in the "Regional Educational, Scientific and Practical Law Center". The seminar was attended not only by employees of the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office and the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Department of Internal Affairs, but also by representatives of the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Law, senior lecturer of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of PSU Katushonok O.V., and students of the Faculty of Law.

 During the seminar, various problematic issues were highlighted in the exercise of supervision over inquiry, prevention, record-keeping, registration of applications and reports of crimes, and consideration of citizens' appeals within the framework of the Criminal Procedure Code and the Law of the Republic of Belarus of July 18, 2011, No. 300-Z "On Appeals of Citizens and Legal Entities", the methodology for conducting on-site inspections of accident scenes, the most common mistakes made during evidence recording, and amendments made to the criminal procedure legislation.

In addition, the pressing issue of preventing domestic violence and the measures taken by the internal affairs bodies were discussed.

It should be noted that the seminar was lively, with discussions on many issues.

The Regional Prosecutor's Office will continue the practice of holding such training events in close cooperation with the Faculty of Law of Educational Institution PSU.
