Military-themed seminar

From August 10 to 11, 2016, a seminar on "Practical Aspects of Supervision over the Enforcement of Legislation in the Troops" was held in Grodno with the participation of prosecutors from the Prosecutor General's Office and specialized departments of regional prosecutor's offices and the city of Minsk. The seminar was attended by the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus, State Counselor of Justice of the First Class, A.V. Konyuk.

The delegation of the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office was headed by the Regional Prosecutor, State Counselor of Justice of the Third Class, G.I. Dysko.

Within the framework of the seminar, its participants discussed issues of improving the quality of prosecutorial supervision over the enforcement of legislation in the troops, outlined practical aspects of their activities for the second half of 2016, and also familiarized themselves with the progress of combat training of the 11th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Western Operational Command of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus directly in field conditions at the "Gozha" military training ground.

The seminar participants took advantage of the opportunity provided to them and tried their hand at shooting various types of small arms, which was organized under the guidance of the brigade's officers. Shooting was conducted from pistols and various types of automatic weapons. From the Vitebsk Regional delegation, the best results were shown by Viktor Kolbun, Senior Prosecutor of the Department for Supervision over the Enforcement of Legislation in the Troops.

By the way, on the eve of this, as a reward, he was awarded a class rank one step higher than his current position – "Counselor of Justice". The Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus congratulated him on this event and personally presented him with shoulder straps.
