Through times and generations

History of the transport prosecutor's office in the Republic of Belarus has deep roots going back centuries. In its current form, it was established in 1976, based on the order of the Prosecutor General of the USSR No. 480-l

“On the organization of transport prosecutor's offices”. By the order of the Prosecutor General of the USSR No. 46 dated 05.11.1980, the Belarusian Transport Prosecutor's Office was established. Currently, the activities of transport prosecutor's offices are regulated by the order of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus dated 03.09.2021 No. 25 “On the organization of prosecutorial supervision over the enforcement of legislation in transport and customs authorities”.

Many remarkable people, professionals in their field, have served
in the transport prosecutor's office during this time. A meeting with one of them – Anatoly Nikolaevich Sevryukov – was held by the staff of the Vitebsk Transport Prosecutor's Office.

Anatoly Nikolaevich, without exaggeration, is a historical figure. He began his career path in 1977 as an investigator at the Vitebsk Transport Prosecutor's Office, then served as an assistant to the Vitebsk Transport Prosecutor, and for some time served in the prosecutor's office of the Vitebsk region. The management duly appreciated Anatoly Nikolaevich's moral and business qualities, and in 1985 he was appointed prosecutor of the Postavy district.
After serving in this position for more than ten years, in 1997 he was appointed to the position of prosecutor of the Gluboksky district, from which
he honorably retired in 2012. In total, during Anatoly Nikolaevich's service, 11 Prosecutor Generals and 6 prosecutors of the Vitebsk region changed. During his service
in the Postavy and Gluboksky districts, Anatoly Nikolaevich was repeatedly offered higher positions, but this did not attract him, he was not drawn to the big city; his heart was set on working "on the ground"…

This meeting took place in a warm, friendly atmosphere. Anatoly Nikolaevich spoke about the specifics of service in the prosecutor's office of the BSSR, recalled long business trips and criminal cases solved through his efforts, and noted the importance of the work of the prosecutor's office
and the coherence of the prosecutorial team.

Vitebsk transport prosecutor Konstantin Shienok wished Anatoly Nikolaevich good health and long life, and also noted: "Such meetings are extremely important, as they allow not only to ask veterans with rich life
and service experience the questions of interest, but also unite prosecutors across times and generations."
