Employment Service: In the Vitebsk region, 91 unemployed citizens were granted a subsidy to start their own business

Since the beginning of 2022, 91 unemployed citizens have been granted subsidies to start their own businesses.

For January – October 2022, the employment service of the Vitebsk region provided subsidies for the organization of entrepreneurial, craft activities, as well as activities for providing services in the field of agroecotourism to 91 unemployed citizens, including 64 unemployed citizens for the organization of entrepreneurial activities, 26 for craft activities, and 1 for activities in the field of agroecotourism.

In order to improve financial literacy with the assistance of the employment service, in January – October 2021, training in the course "Fundamentals of Business Planning" was organized for 84 unemployed individuals. Of those who completed the training in the fundamentals of entrepreneurial activity, 49 unemployed individuals were granted subsidies.

The main types of entrepreneurial activities chosen by the unemployed are: retail trade (16 subsidies were allocated), hairdressing and beauty salon services (10), freight road transport and taxi activities (8), provision of services in the field of construction, finishing, electrical installation, plastering, plumbing, and other repair work (5).
