Composure, silence, and maximum concentration: how Vitebsk schoolchildren take the CE and CT

26.05.2026

Together with representatives of state control, the correspondents of "Vitbichi" looked into university auditoriums where students take the centralized exam and centralized testing. Composure, silence, maximum concentration – this is how the atmosphere that reigns there can be characterized.

Centralized tests in the Vitebsk region are being conducted at a high level. This was announced by the chairman of the regional commission for controlling the admission campaign, chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Committee for State Control, Vladimir Godyatsky.

– Representatives of our control department are working at all 22 points where the centralized exam is held, and at four points where centralized testing is organized. This year, over 11,000 people have registered for centralized tests in the region. The largest testing center in terms of numbers is located at the Vitebsk State Technological University, where almost three thousand people are taking the tests. Both large and small testing centers have the same conditions, order is ensured everywhere, and a unified standard is observed – the goal is to create equal conditions for everyone and ensure objectivity.

Among the innovations of the 2026 admission campaign is the creation of conditions for participants with special individual needs: they are allowed into auditoriums with specialized health monitoring devices.

The prohibition on taking examination materials, scratch paper, written notes, and records of any kind out of the examination room remains in effect. Even seemingly harmless marks on one's hand or other body parts are considered a violation and will result in the annulment of the results.

Artyom Volchanin, a student from Secondary School No. 23 in Vitebsk named after O.R. Tuvalsky, took mathematics in the centralized testing. He shared that he expects a result close to 100 points.

– I plan to enroll either in the Belarusian National Technical University or the Vitebsk State Technological University for an engineering specialty. Previously, I took mock testing in mathematics, physics, and the Russian language. The results were not bad, but I wanted to improve them, so I studied hard.

Natalia Zabavko, the principal of Secondary School No. 23 named after O.R. Tuvalsky, said that 30 of her students are taking the centralized testing. They studied subjects at a specialized advanced level and therefore expect high scores.

Alena Gordon and Artyom Baranovsky, graduates of Secondary School No. 38 in Vitebsk, shared that they took social studies in the centralized testing.

– We expect each of us to score at least 90 points, – said Alena Gordon. – I am going to enroll in Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov for the specialty "Jurisprudence," and my boyfriend Artyom will enroll in the Ministry of Internal Affairs Institute in Mogilev, directed by the Pervomaisky District Department of Internal Affairs. He has already met the necessary standards.
