A meeting of the regional coordination council on combating corruption was held

Under the chairmanship of the Prosecutor of the Vitebsk region, State Counselor of Justice of the 3rd class V.V. Sushchinsky, with the participation of the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Belarus – Inspector for the Vitebsk region A.K. Linevich, a meeting of the regional coordination council was held. The meeting considered issues on measures taken by law enforcement and other state bodies to combat corruption, eliminate the causes and conditions conducive to corruption manifestations, as well as the approval of the work plan of the coordination council for combating crime and corruption in the Vitebsk region for the first half of 2020.

The Program for Combating Crime and Corruption for 2017-2019 has been fulfilled, and a number of coordination, practical, and other measures have been taken to improve the forms and methods of work of prevention subjects, and to activate public activities to combat corruption.

The trends, dynamics of corruption crime, results of sociological research, and analysis of the causes and conditions for committing specific corruption offenses, analyzed at the meeting, indicate the need for further improvement of the forms and methods of work of law enforcement and other state bodies of the Vitebsk region in the sphere of combating corruption.

The heads of the main law enforcement agencies of the region were heard with detailed reports.

Issues of interdepartmental interaction were discussed.

Specific decisions were developed aimed at increasing the effectiveness of work to combat corruption in all its manifestations.

The Prosecutor of the Vitebsk region, State Counselor of Justice of the 3rd class V.V. Sushchinsky, presented Daria Gorovaya, a 10th-grade student of the educational institution "Gymnasium No. 4" of Vitebsk, with a diploma of a finalist of the national qualifying stage of the International Youth Competition of Social Anti-Corruption Advertising "Together Against Corruption" in the nomination "Best Poster".
