Employees of the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office took part in a scientific and practical conference on the topic "Counteracting economic crime: theoretical and practical application issues".

At the end of September this year, the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Belarus, with the assistance of LLC "YurSpektr", held a scientific and practical conference in Minsk on the topic "Combating Economic Crime: Problems of Theory and Practice of Application".

The conference was attended by members of the Standing Commission of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus on Legislation, representatives of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Belarus, regional prosecutor's offices, the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Department of Financial Investigations of the State Control Committee, the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the State Border Committee of the Republic of Belarus, Belarusian State University, Yanka Kupala Grodno State University, Belarusian State Economic University, the educational institution "Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus", the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Taxes and Duties of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus, the State Forensic Examination Committee, the National Center for Legislation and Legal Research of the Republic of Belarus.

From the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, the following participated in the conference: Deputy Head of the Department for Supervision of Inquiry, Ambros Yu.Yu., Senior Prosecutor of the Department for Supervision of Legislation Enforcement by the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus for the Vitebsk Region, Vasiliev V.M., Senior Prosecutor of the Department for Supervision of Legality of Judicial Decisions in Criminal Cases, Tolkachev A.D.

The conference addressed issues of combating economic crime, questions of the effective application of operational-search legislation in combating economic crimes, as well as aspects of law enforcement practice for crimes related to sham entrepreneurship and criminal bankruptcy.

The issues discussed at this training event will lead to the adoption of additional measures aimed at effectively combating economic crime in the region.
