Timely replacement of tires with winter ones will help preserve the car and health
With the onset of winter, from December 1, drivers are obliged to change to winter tires
and drive like this until March 1. The specified rule applies to both cars with a mass of up to 3.5 tons and heavier vehicles
(including passenger cars, cargo-passenger vehicles with a mass of over 3.5 tons and buses with a mass of up to 5 tons).
When choosing winter tires, pay attention
to the compliance of their marking with the Traffic Regulations.
The use of winter tires with a symbol in the form of a mountain peak with three peaks and a snowflake inside it, or the signs "M+S", "M&S", "M.S", "M S" or "All seasons", as well as with a residual tread depth of at least 4 mm is allowed.
Traffic police officers recommend using identical sets of tires of the same model on all wheels of the vehicle.
Before installing used tires, it is necessary to check
their wear indicators.
Tires with damage (punctures, cuts, tears) exposing the cord, as well as carcass delamination, tread and sidewall delamination, and cracking due to rubber aging are not allowed for operation. Tires must correspond to the size and permissible load of the vehicle model. It is forbidden to install diagonal tires together with radial tires or tires with different tread patterns on the same axle of a bus, passenger car or trailer to it,
as well as to install studded tires not on all axles of the vehicle.
For non-compliance with the requirements of the law, drivers will be subject to administrative liability measures provided for by Part 2 of Article 18.11 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.
Committing an offense for the first time entails the application of preventive measures. For repeated commission of an offense, an administrative penalty in the form of a fine of up to 1 base unit will be imposed.
