A solemn ceremony of awarding the Honorary Boards of the Vitebsk region and the city of Vitebsk took place on Victory Square in the regional center
On the eve of May 1 – Labour Day, the winners based on the results of work for 2025 have been inscribed on the regional and city Honour Boards: representatives of districts, enterprises and institutions who have achieved the best indicators in various sectors of the national economy and made a significant contribution to the socio-economic development and well-being of the Vitebsk region.
The Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Rogozhnik, presented certificates to the labour beacons of the Dvina region. The ceremony was attended by the Assistant to the President – Inspector for the Vitebsk Region, Vladimir Yurgevich, the Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies, Dmitry Demidov, the Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Alexey Guida, representatives of the deputy corps, and the public.
“Today we honour those who, through daily work, energy and professionalism, bring glory to our region. Leading enterprises, organizations and their best representatives work for the benefit of the region's economy, stimulate a creative spirit and creative impulse in all sectors of the national economy,” noted Alexander Rogozhnik in his speech. “Vitebsk, Polotsk and Gluboksky districts have been recognized as leaders over the past year. For 2025, the regional centre has met the targets for wage growth, total budget revenue, housing construction, and export of services, and has carried out extensive work on the technical re-equipment and modernization of enterprises. To improve the standard and quality of life of the region's population, social infrastructure is being developed, kindergartens and sports grounds are being opened, and civic initiatives are being supported.”
The head of the regional authorities expressed confidence that the merits of the enterprises and organizations inscribed on the regional Honour Board serve as an incentive for everyone to strive for more, set ambitious goals and achieve them.
– Hard work and sincere dedication to one's cause will always be noticed and rewarded, – emphasized Alexander Rogozhnik, addressing the awardees. – You prove that it is possible to reach the highest peaks in the Vitebsk region. All it takes is desire, determination, and love for one's work. "Together we can achieve a lot" – a phrase often spoken by the head of our state, here, in the heart of Vitebsk, on the heroic Victory Square, sounds symbolic.
The head of the region congratulated those present on their well-deserved triumph, wished them good health, inexhaustible energy, and new professional successes for the benefit of their native region and all of Belarus.
On the same day, the Chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee, Alexey Geroyev, presented certificates for inclusion in the city's Honor Board to the Zheleznodorozhny district of the regional center and 19 Vitebsk collectives that achieved the best results in various fields of activity. Among them are the "Vitba" confectionery factory, the Vitebsk Tractor Spare Parts Plant, the Vitebsk Oil Extraction Plant, the "Gordormost" enterprises, "VIK - Animal Health", the Vitebsk Electrical Measuring Instruments Plant, Road Construction Department No. 45, "Belorusneft-Vitebskobleneftoprodukt", Gymnasium No. 2, Vitebsk State Medical University, Vitebsk Branch of the MITSO International University, the Regional Clinical Specialized Center, City Polyclinic No. 4 named after V. Lenin, Specialized Children and Youth Sports School of the primary trade union organization of employees of the VSU named after P. Masherov, Football Club "ML Vitebsk", "Lotos" Association, "Mir Usług Plus", TCSON of Pervomaysky District, and the "Vitebsk" Cultural Center.
