Land Management Department: Over 200 plots proposed for the construction of tourist facilities in the Vitebsk region

In six districts of the Vitebsk region, over 200 vacant land plots are offered for the development of the tourism sector, with the provision of these territories approved by the President, as reported by the land management department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.
The plots were selected to attract investors who could build tourism facilities in picturesque locations, including agro-ecotourism related to recreation and health improvement. These could be recreation centers, campsites, hunting and fishing lodges, sanatoriums, and other facilities. "When selecting plots, specialists were guided by their characteristics: they assessed the attractiveness of natural areas and the location (to be near a lake or forest). Beautiful and flat territories without elevation changes were chosen to avoid difficulties in designing facilities. Currently, over 200 such plots are offered in the region in Braslavsky, Lepelsky, Miorsky, Postavsky, Rossonsky, and Ushachsky districts," the department stated.

This year, investors showed greater interest in the Braslavsky district, known for its significant number of vacant and beautiful water bodies, where 8 applications were received. The construction of two new recreation centers and a hunting and fishing lodge has already been approved there. According to specialists, the previously overlooked Ushachsky district has gained popularity, also featuring many beautiful lakeside locations. In this region, plans include the construction of two bungalows and a recreation center named "Reserve of Impressions."

"All these plots are of particular value to the region and the country, as they are often located on agricultural or forest lands. These land categories are under special state control. And while the seizure and provision of such plots is possible only with the President's approval, this approval has already been obtained – investors have a privilege in obtaining these plots. The procedure will be carried out in the established manner, and no additional approval from the head of state is required for the provision of these plots. Accordingly, the procedure time is reduced by at least half," the department noted, adding that Belarusian investors with joint Belarusian-Russian enterprises often come to the districts.

According to the decree of the head of state of June 13, 2017 No. 92rp "On the approval of land plots provision," relevant territories were selected in each district of the Vitebsk region. This year, the list was reviewed, and the land inventory will be completed by the end of December.
