Executive Director of the Regional Executive Committee: Over 39,000 citizen appeals were recorded in the Vitebsk region last year
Last year, 39.3 thousand appeals were recorded, which is 8% less than the previous period, emphasized the Head of the Office of the Regional Executive Committee, Yuri Pernach. Thus, citizens were most concerned about issues of citizenship, migration, traffic management, property disputes, possible unlawful actions of officials... More than 16 thousand applications on this topic were received by the internal affairs bodies. Traditionally, housing and communal services issues are in high demand (7.7 thousand). Many questions arise regarding social and pension security, education, healthcare, architecture and construction, land management, trade, repair and maintenance of roads. The majority of appeals, as the speaker emphasized, were considered locally.
At the same time, the number of citizens who appealed to the regional executive committee increased by 9%. Residents of Beshenkovichi, Verkhnedvinsk, Vitebsk, Gorodok, Liozno, Lepel, Miory, Polotsk, Tolochin districts, Vitebsk and Novopolotsk showed great activity.
More than two thousand appeals were considered, and 64 demands were satisfied. The rest were answered with information and explanatory materials. However, 122 appeals, which is 5% of all received, remained unconsidered as unjustified. The analysis of the topics shows that citizens were concerned about the reorganization of processing enterprises, the activities of agricultural organizations, public utilities, transport, and trade.
It is concerning that the number of repeated appeals to the regional executive committee has increased by 27%, although only six were recognized as justified. The number of collective applications has also increased by 17%. Their topics are predictable: housing repair, water supply, landscaping, road management, reorganization of the education system, trade, etc. Here's the situation. Resolving many collective applications requires additional funding. Currently, work is underway to include construction objects under the control of the regional executive committee in the investment programs and work plans for the current year. Out of 126 objects for bridge repair in Verkhnedvinsk, Gorodok, and Ushachi districts, capital repair of residential buildings and dormitories in Vitebsk and Polotsk districts, construction of water supply networks in the regional center and Vitebsk district, capital repair of the House of Culture in Orsha district, etc., 19 have been fully resolved. When forming investment programs and plans for the current year, 88 collective appeals were taken into account.
Personal receptions, "direct" and "hot" lines, which resolve most of the issues of concern to people, reduce social tension, as noted. In general, the analysis of the situation showed that work with citizens' appeals in the region is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the legislation.
