Serious crimes are mainly committed due to alcohol abuse
So, on one of the summer days, Alexander was returning with his acquaintance from St. Petersburg to Brest. On the way, they visited the dining car, where they drank alcohol and had snacks. Meanwhile, Peter, previously unknown to them, sat down at their table in the dining car and joined the feast. Being quite intoxicated, Alexander sold a forgotten mobile phone to his new acquaintance. Subsequently, a scandal broke out between the men over this incident, during which Peter attacked Alexander's acquaintance Stepan with his fists. The conflict was temporarily stopped by the bartender and the restaurant waiter. After some time, Stepan went to the vestibule to smoke, where Peter caught up with him and continued to sort things out, inflicting blows. In defense of his friend, Alexander, who witnessed the beating, stood up for him, but, having received a blow to the face, his patience ran out, and he took out a folding knife and began to wave it at Peter, inflicting blows. He does not remember how many blows he inflicted. After the injured Peter crouched down in the vestibule, bleeding, Alexander and his acquaintance left the vestibule, taking the victim's wallet on the way. Subsequently, he threw the wallet and the knife into the coupling device between the cars. Alexander and Stepan were detained by police officers before the train stopped. He did not deny his guilt.
For Alexander's offender, everything turned out well, but the criminal had to appear before the court. During the criminal proceedings, Alexander admitted his guilt and repented of his actions. By the court's sentence, Alexander was found guilty and sentenced to restriction of liberty for a term of 4 years with direction to an open-type correctional institution.
