At PSU, issues of establishing juvenile justice in the Republic of Belarus were discussed
This event was held in the form of a debate between two teams (1st and 3rd year students) who defended opposing viewpoints according to a pre-set plan. The team members were assisted in defending their positions from a practical point of view by prosecutors from the Novopolotsk and Polotsk District Prosecutor's Offices, who supervise the enforcement of legislation on minors and youth.
The teams' presentations were evaluated by a jury consisting of representatives from the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, judges from the Polotsk District Court, the Novopolotsk City Court, and other practicing lawyers.
Based on the results of the seminar, a decision was made to select the winners of this legal competition. The students' interest in choosing future professions dedicated to protecting children's rights (prosecutor's office, court, internal affairs bodies, commissions for juvenile affairs) has been raised.
