In the Gomel region prosecutor's office, prosecutors from three regions and cities discussed current issues of supervisory activities

At the Gomel Regional Prosecutor's Office, prosecutors from three regions and cities discussed current issues of supervisory activities at a round table.

For the purpose of mutual cooperation, a seminar on "Organization of Supervisory Activities of the Prosecutor's Offices of Vitebsk, Gomel, and Mogilev" was held at the Gomel Regional Prosecutor's Office on February 25-26, 2016.

The seminar was attended by the Prosecutor of Gomel Region A. Ya. Azhemsha, Prosecutor of Vitebsk Region G. I. Dysko, Prosecutor of Mogilev Region A. V. Chadyuk, and prosecutors of the cities of the respective regional centers.

At the round table, the heads of the regional and city prosecutor's offices exchanged views on the organization of prosecutorial supervision over the legality of court decisions in criminal and civil cases, supervision over the investigation of criminal cases, and experience in supervising the enforcement of legislation and the legality of legal acts.

The Prosecutor of Gomel city S. A. Zaitsev acquainted the seminar participants with the staff and spoke about the specifics of organizing work in the city prosecutor's office, demonstrating a special report filmed by the city television for the second anniversary of the prosecutor's office establishment.

During the visit to the correctional institution "Correctional Colony No. 4" of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus for the Gomel Region, the seminar participants discussed the conditions of detention

convicted women serving sentences of imprisonment, and also familiarized themselves with samples of the uniform clothing produced by this institution.

Meetings of this format contribute to strengthening cooperation between the prosecutor's offices of regions and cities, and allow for more effective resolution of issues arising in supervisory activities.
