The regional prosecutor's office discussed issues of organizing the work of the region's supervisory authority

An expanded operational meeting was held via video conference at the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.

The agenda included: the results of a comprehensive inspection of the regional prosecutor's office.

The event was attended by the Deputy Prosecutor General Gennady Dyso, heads of several specialized structural units of the central office of the department, the leadership of the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, heads of departments, senior assistants, and prosecutors of cities and districts.

Prosecutors discussed current issues of supervision over the enforcement of legislation and the legality of legal acts, particularly in the economic and social spheres. Special attention was paid to the analytical component of the work being carried out.

Existing shortcomings in the supervision of legislative enforcement by investigative bodies and the initiation of preventive criminal cases were considered separately.

Problematic aspects in the supervision of legislative enforcement in the region's transport sector, ensuring safety on the Vitebsk railway, were also discussed, and pain points in this area of activity were identified.

Based on the discussion, a number of specific organizational and practical measures were adopted to improve the work of the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, and future tasks were set.
