The Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office discussed problematic issues in the area of processing applications and reports on road traffic accidents in the traffic police departments.

On the agenda: the implementation of departmental control and prosecutorial supervision over the resolution of applications and reports on facts of road traffic accidents in the subdivisions of the regional state automobile inspectorate.

Prosecutor's office employees of the regional, city and district prosecutor's offices, heads of the OGAI and senior inspectors of the regional state automobile inspectorate took part in the training event.

Within the framework of the seminar, the participants discussed problematic issues on materials of administrative offense cases, typical mistakes made by traffic police officials in conducting administrative proceedings. Attention was paid to problems arising during the fixation of traces during the inspection of the scene of the incident.

Issues of supervision over inquiry, quality of inspections, and effectiveness of prosecutorial response measures were considered in detail.

In addition, law enforcement officers discussed issues of preventing crimes and offenses in the sphere of vehicle operation in the Vitebsk region.

Based on the results of the training seminar, an additional mechanism for interaction between the supervisory authority and the state automobile inspectorate subdivisions was developed, aimed at improving the administrative and preventive work carried out on the ground.
