A seminar for prosecutors involved in state prosecution in court and supervision of the legality of court decisions in criminal cases was held at the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office
At each such seminar, the target audience and topics are selected based on the most pressing issues in supervising the legality of court decisions in criminal cases and the changes occurring in the criminal law sphere.
The professionalism and competence of the prosecutor's corps are a condition for the effective and efficient work of the prosecutor's office, a guarantee for the successful solution of assigned tasks, and a high assessment of the prosecutor's activities by the public.
Of all the areas of activity of the prosecutor's office, state prosecution is the most open. By publicly speaking in court, the prosecutor, as the state prosecutor, can most vividly demonstrate their knowledge, skills, and creative abilities.
The Department for Supervision of the Legality of Court Decisions in Criminal Cases of the Vitebsk Region Prosecutor's Office meticulously developed the program for this training and methodological seminar, consisting of lectures and practical sessions. Its participants discussed issues of high-quality preparation for court proceedings in criminal cases, the use of powers granted by law by state prosecutors. They became acquainted with the methodology for checking court decisions for compliance with legislative requirements, preparing appeals, and identified shortcomings.
The seminar touched upon the grounds for reviewing court decisions in criminal cases in appellate and supervisory proceedings.
