A joint interdepartmental meeting on the timeliness of wage payments by agricultural enterprises of the Vitebsk region was held at the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.

Representatives of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, the Vitebsk Regional Trade Union Association, the Vitebsk Meat and Dairy Products Concern, heads of district executive committees, and enterprise managers took part in the meeting.

The meeting discussed the causes and conditions contributing to prolonged wage arrears, measures taken to reduce and prevent arrears, the most problematic issues arising in the course of economic activities, and focused the attention of managers on the need to increase the production and quality of livestock products and to strengthen control over labor discipline.

Based on the results of the work, a decision was adopted containing mandatory requirements aimed at protecting the labor rights of employees of agro-industrial complex enterprises.
