A training and methodological seminar for prosecutors overseeing the enforcement of legislation on crime and other offenses prevention was held at the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office

A training and methodological seminar was held at the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office for prosecutors supervising the enforcement of legislation on crime and other offenses prevention. 

Within the framework of the seminar, the main areas of prosecutorial supervision over the enforcement of prevention legislation, methods for inspecting prevention entities, and the most frequently identified violations of the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On the Fundamentals of Prevention Activities" were reviewed.

In addition, problems arising in the supervision of juvenile delinquency prevention, important aspects of preventing recidivism, and the main shortcomings made by inquiry bodies when considering applications and reports of fires and materials from preliminary investigations on the so-called preventive articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus were discussed.

A representative of the Department of Law and Order and Prevention of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, who took part in the training and methodological seminar, highlighted the practice of placing citizens on preventive records by internal affairs bodies and the procedure for conducting preventive work with them, as well as the application of protective orders in the Vitebsk region.

The Regional Prosecutor's Office is preparing an information bulletin for publication on the main areas of prosecutorial supervision over the enforcement of legislation on crime and other offenses prevention, which will include regulatory legal acts, methodological recommendations on the procedure for inspecting prevention entities, and the practice of prosecutorial supervision.
