A training and methodological seminar was held at the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, which addressed issues of enforcing legislation on operational-search activities and combating corruption in connection with the entry into force of the Laws of the Republic of Belarus "On Operational-Search Activities" and "On Combating Corruption".

Representatives of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Department of Internal Affairs of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, the Department of Security and Crime Prevention, the Prosecutor General's Office, the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, as well as prosecutors of cities and districts, Vitebsk and Orsha transport prosecutors, who are entrusted with the duties of organizing and supervising the enforcement of legislation on operational-search activities and combating corruption, took part in the seminar.

The seminar discussed issues of practical application of new legislation, conducting operational-search activities, and using their results in criminal proceedings, including in the detection and investigation of corruption crimes. The seminar also drew the attention of prosecutors to the need to improve prosecutorial supervision over the enforcement of legislation on operational-search activities and combating corruption.

The testing conducted during the seminar using computer technologies showed a good level of knowledge of the prosecutors regarding the laws "On Operational-Search Activities" and "On Combating Corruption" that have entered into force, and their readiness to exercise supervision over the enforcement of the new regulatory legal acts.
