As part of the "STOP-Corruption!" campaign, employees of the Department for Combating Corruption and Organized Crime of the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office held an open event in the form of a "round table" with employees of the Vitebsk branch of RUE "BelCustomsService" at the Vitebsk Customs. Employees of the regional customs declaration departments "Polotsk", "Orsha", "Braslav" also participated via video conferencing.

Thus, prosecutor of the Department for Combating Corruption and Organized Crime Larkova V.V. explained to those present the special requirements of anti-corruption legislation regarding financial control for public officials of the branch, highlighting in detail the aspects of applying certain provisions of anti-corruption legislation in practice, providing examples of specific offenses that create conditions for corruption, and corrupt offenses identified during inspections, and the legal consequences of their commission.

Senior prosecutor of the Department for Combating Corruption and Organized Crime Maltseva N.A. announced the most significant criminal cases of a corruption nature, for which court convictions have entered into legal force, and explained the criminal law consequences of violations of anti-corruption legislation.

During the event, prosecutors also answered questions arising from the branch employees in their practical activities regarding the application of certain norms and provisions of anti-corruption legislation.

The practice of holding such meetings with representatives of sectors and spheres most susceptible to corruption risks will be continued in the further work of the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.
