Winners of the regional stage of the "Master of the Year – 2026" competition announced in Vitebsk

Irina Vasilevich, a production training master at the Vitebsk State Industrial College, will represent the northern region at the republican stage of the "Master of the Year – 2026" competition.
Today, the award ceremony for the regional stage of the republican review of professional achievements among production training masters "Master of the Year – 2026" was held in Vitebsk.
The large-scale marathon of professional skills took place in the Vitebsk region from April to May 2026. Representatives from 19 educational institutions of the region entered the competition for the prestigious title. The path to the diplomas was not easy. Contestants had to demonstrate their talents within four modules, each evaluating a specific aspect of their skills: "I am a Master," where participants had to prepare a creative presentation; "Pedagogical Mastery," which involved demonstrating professional skills in design, conducting and analyzing a lesson, and methodological development; "Master Class," a practical task based on the participant's declared competence; and "Profession – New Format," a presentation of a career guidance creative program.
Congratulating the heroes of the occasion, the Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Aleksei Guida, noted that Belarus is famous for its good traditions, and the "Master of the Year" competition, which is being held for the second time, is confidently becoming one of them.
– The main thing that unites the participants is boundless love for their work, – noted Aleksei Guida. – These are professionals dedicated to their profession who know how to pass on practical experience to the younger generation.
The Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee also drew attention to the fact that vocational education and training in the Vitebsk region and the republic as a whole is rapidly gaining popularity.
– Production training masters are unique people, and I want to thank you for your noble, invaluable work, – Aleksei Guida addressed the audience. – You are doing a great job for our country and our children. Thanks to your work, the economy of Belarus is strengthening, and our human potential is developing.
The significance of the competition and the importance of the role of mentors in the modern personnel training system were emphasized by the Head of the Department of Vocational and Secondary Specialized Education of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, Aleksandra Petrova.
In her opinion, it is the production training master who is the key figure that allows vocational education and training to maintain a high standard of quality and train in-demand specialists for the specific needs of modern enterprises.
– For vocational education, a production training instructor is a unique individual who not only imparts their skills and abilities to students but also nurtures the future generation, demonstrating through their own example what a high-class professional can become, – is convinced Alexandra Petrova. – Victory in the regional stage requires the contestant to have flawless command of two key components: pedagogical talent and the highest practical mastery in their field. It is this tandem that allows them to successfully cope with the most complex competition tasks and confirm their high status.
By the way, every second participant in the competition is a representative of the younger generation of educators. This year's competition clearly demonstrated the continuity of generations and the high potential of novice specialists. 10 young educators aged 22 to 30 took part in the "Master of the Year – 2026" review.
The high activity of the youth and their dedication to their chosen profession were highly appreciated by Zhanna Naritsyna, the First Secretary of the Regional Committee of the BRSM, who noted that each winner in their industry is already a worthy example of professional skill and conscientious attitude to work, which the youth should emulate.
– It is on such specialists that enterprises and organizations rely today. They inspire the new generation to build their lives and look confidently into the future, guided by the best in their field, – commented the region's youth leader.
The strongest were able to overcome serious challenges and prove their superiority. At the ceremony, deserved awards found their heroes. The honorable third place and diplomas of the III degree were shared by: Margarita Pozhidaeva, production training instructor at the Polotsk State Chemical-Technological College, and Natalia Pavlovskaya, production training instructor at the Vitebsk State Industrial-Technological College.
Silver of the competition and diplomas of the II degree were won by: production training instructor of the Novopolotsk State Polytechnic College Dmitry Tinkov, production training instructor of the Orsha State College of Food Industry named after N. Kornachenok Diana Korshak. The main award – a diploma of the I degree of the regional stage of the republican competition "Master of the Year – 2026" – was rightfully awarded to the production training instructor of the Vitebsk State Industrial College Irina Vasilevich. It is she who will represent the northern region at the republican stage of the competition in the autumn of this year.
