In the Vitebsk region, polyclinics have returned to their normal working hours (including weekends and holidays)

The Vitebsk region is observing a decrease in COVID-19 incidence among both adult and child populations.

The workload on the outpatient and polyclinic sector has decreased, with a reduction in the number of COVID-19 patients under observation and treatment in polyclinics.

Specialists at the central district hospitals of Beshenkovichi, Gorodok, Rossony, Senno, Sharkovshchina, and Shumilino are providing routine planned care. By the end of the week, the hospitals in Ushachi and Liozno will also return to providing full planned care.

Due to the stabilization of COVID-19 incidence levels among children, the number of repurposed beds in pediatric departments has decreased.

Medical university students, who were involved in working in "red zones" and on mobile teams, returned to their studies on February 28th, and intern doctors will resume work at their bases starting March 3rd.

Polyclinics have returned to their regular operating schedules (including weekends and holidays).

Five healthcare institutions are operating as infectious disease hospitals:

• Vitebsk Regional Infectious Diseases Hospital;
• Vitebsk Regional Clinical Center of Pulmonology and Phthisiology;
• City Clinical Emergency Hospital;
• Vitebsk Regional Clinical Maternity Hospital;
• Urology Building of Vitebsk Regional Clinical Hospital.

Despite the emerging decline in the pandemic, the recommendations for protection against COVID-19 remain the same: social distancing, wearing masks, frequent hand washing and disinfection, ventilation of premises, and, of course, vaccination and revaccination.
