In the Vitebsk region, the costs of providing housing and communal services to the population have decreased by 15.9%
Reporting on the issue "On the implementation of the state program 'Comfortable Housing and a Favorable Environment' for 2016-2020", the head of the department noted that based on the results of work for January-September, the costs of providing housing and communal services to the population were reduced by 15.9% compared to the same period last year.
– The reduction in costs was achieved under conditions of economic activity comparable to last year, with an economic effect of over Br22.5 million, – emphasized Yuri Dyadelo.
In general, the region ensured a reduction in the specific consumption of electricity for water lifting and supply by 1.5%, for wastewater pumping and treatment by 5.9%, and for thermal energy production by 2.5%.
– The reduction in costs was achieved, among other things, by revising the norms and standards for the number of employees. Compared to December 2015, the average headcount decreased by 10.9% over the 9 months of the current year. Measures for the rational use of labor resources allow for savings of about Br1.4 million per month, – reported the head of the department.
He noted that the actual cost of housing and communal services provided in the region for January-September is below the maximum permissible planned and calculated prices for almost all services. An exception is the maintenance of the housing stock and heat supply.
Thanks to cost reduction, Br16 million of budget funds planned for subsidizing housing and communal services to the population have been saved this year. These funds were directed to additional financing of measures under the "Comfortable Housing and a Favorable Environment" program - three boiler houses on local fuels were commissioned (d. Podsvilye, Gluboksky district, Vitebsk, p. Vysokoye, Orshansky district), one of the boiler houses in the Orshansky district was converted from natural gas to local fuels; heat networks were replaced; current repairs of the housing stock and major repairs of water supply facilities were carried out; containers for solid household waste collection were purchased, etc.
