The Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee is considering the issue of socio-economic development of the Orsha district

The issue of socio-economic development of the Orsha district is being considered at a meeting of the regional executive committee.

 

The meeting is attended by Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Petr Parkhomchik, Chairman of the regional executive committee Alexander Subbotin, Chairman of the regional Council of Deputies Vladimir Terentyev, members of the regional executive committee and heads of its structural divisions, chairmen of district executive committees. The meeting is held via video conference.

 

First Deputy Chairman of the Orsha District Executive Committee Sergey Pats recalled that the region has been working for five years on the implementation of Presidential Decree No. 506 "On the Development of the Orsha District of the Vitebsk Region". Positive trends are observed in industry, agriculture, trade, and construction. The growth rates in these sectors are higher than the regional average. There are other examples of positive management.

Nevertheless, as Alexander Subbotin emphasized, 2023 is the final year for the measures of the Orsha region development program, and there are slight lags from the target in various areas. It is important to understand the reasons for them and make efforts to obtain the maximum return from state support.
