In the Vitebsk region, applications are being accepted for the competition of civil initiative projects

Applications are open until February 1, 2026, for the competition of civil initiative projects aimed at territorial development, improving the quality of life of the population, and improving settlements.

As explained by the executive directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Association of Local Councils of Deputies, a civil initiative project is an initiative structured with a description of the current problem of a specific territory, a list of measures to solve it, and a mandatory budget calculation, including the amount of co-financing. An application with data about the initiator is attached to the project.

Citizens who have reached the age of 18 and permanently reside in the territory of the relevant administrative-territorial unit or its part can submit a project.

Projects should be sent to the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies: in hard copy – to the address: 210010, Vitebsk, Gogol St., 6, office 207; in electronic form – to the e-mail: osd@vitobl.by (with the subject line "Civil Initiative Project", PDF format).

Projects that pass preliminary review will be admitted to open competitive selection. Winners will receive financial support, with the initiator providing co-financing of at least 10% of the requested amount.
