The Vitebsk transport prosecutor's office held a meeting with the staff of the Vitebsk Department of Internal Affairs on Transport (VDUT) on issues of law enforcement practice in combating corruption.
The fight against corruption has been one of the most important priorities of the Belarusian state policy since the proclamation of its independence. The National Security Concept of the Republic of Belarus recognizes corruption as one of the threats to national security and directs all subjects of power and civil society towards effective counteraction to this phenomenon.
Currently, a balanced system for combating corruption has been formed in our country at all management levels and sectors of economic activity.
Within the framework of this system's functioning and for the purpose of preventing corruption manifestations, the Vitebsk Transport Prosecutor's Office holds regular working meetings with the staff of supervised law enforcement agencies and organizations in the Vitebsk transport region.
A similar meeting took place on 11.03.2020 at the Vitebsk Department of Internal Affairs for Transport, where the Deputy Vitebsk Transport Prosecutor, M.A. Sashcheko, addressed the personnel of the Vitebsk Department of Internal Affairs for Transport with a report on issues of combating corruption, clarification of certain provisions of anti-corruption legislation, and also answered questions on law enforcement practice.
