Vitebsk transport prosecutor Konstantin Shienok held a meeting with students
"Every year on March 22, we pay tribute to the memory of the residents of the village of Khatyn, burned by the fascists 81 years ago – on March 22, 1943. Speaking about the Khatyn tragedy, we also speak about hundreds of other villages – its sisters, about innocent people whom the fascists sentenced to death," noted Konstantin Shienok.
The Vitebsk transport prosecutor spoke about the progress of the criminal case investigation into the genocide of the Belarusian people, facts of atrocities by fascists and their accomplices, and the importance of understanding the entire tragedy of the people for forming a realistic view of current events.
The investigation of the criminal case on the genocide of the Belarusian people is a tribute to the memory of the fallen and contributes to establishing and preserving historical justice, serving as a legal barrier against attempts to falsify the events and outcomes of the Great Patriotic War.
At the end of the meeting, he answered students' questions, urged them to cherish their history, and remember the great feat of our people.
