Vitebskoblимущество: Two former canteens sold at auction in Gorodok and Orsha district
The three-story building in the town of Gorodok with a total area of almost 2.6 thousand sq. m was put up for auction for the 5th time and attracted two bidders. The winner was determined at the 58th step, when the sale price rose to Br26.4 thousand, which is 977 times higher than the starting price of the lot.
The new owner of the property is a private company from Vitebsk specializing in engineering support for construction activities. According to its representative, the facility is planned to be reconstructed and a shopping center will be created on its basis. This is a relatively new area of activity for the organization. The company has two retail outlets in Vitebsk, and today it decided to expand into the rural areas of the region, its representative explained. The proceeds from the sale will go to the budget of the Gorodok district.
The second former canteen is located in the agro-town of Lisuny, Orsha district, and was purchased by a sole bidder for almost Br5.5 thousand. The lot includes a single-story building with an area of 408.2 sq. m and the right to a 40-year lease of a land plot of 0.067 hectares. According to the terms of the auction, the new owner can use the property for housing, or for creating an administrative, retail, or service facility.
In addition, at the anniversary auction, a private organization from Orsha purchased the former boiler house building in the village of Brazdetchino, Orsha district, for Br28.
In total, since the beginning of the year, the Vitebsk Regional Property Committee has sold 105 properties at auctions for over Br3.3 million, which exceeds the data for January-October 2019 by a third in terms of proceeds and by almost 44% in terms of the number of buildings and structures sold. The most in-demand properties are those put up for auction at the basic rate (Br27), which account for about half of the sold structures, as well as those offered with an 80% reduction in sale price (25.7% of sold structures).
