Amendments have been made to the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On the Fundamentals of the System for the Prevention of Neglect and Offenses of Minors"

By Law No. 18-Z of 09.01.2017, significant amendments were made to the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On the Fundamentals of the System for the Prevention of Neglect and Offenses of Minors" (hereinafter referred to as the Law) as of July 1, 2017, concerning the grounds and terms for conducting individual preventive work with adolescents, the minimum age for registration was set at 10 years, and other amendments.

In this regard, on 27.06.2017, the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, jointly with the Internal Affairs Directorate and the Commission for Juvenile Affairs of the Regional Executive Committee, organized a relevant training and methodological seminar for heads of city/district internal affairs departments, heads of public security police, juvenile affairs inspectors, deputy chairpersons of the Commissions for Juvenile Affairs of city/district executive committees, and prosecutors supervising the enforcement of legislation on minors and youth. Representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Regional Executive Committee, and the Commission for Juvenile Affairs of the Regional Executive Committee participated in this seminar.
