Stations, trains, crimes

Year after year, the main mass of crimes committed in the Orsha transport region consists of theft of citizens' personal property. The tactics and techniques of theft remain the same over the years. If only because passengers do not change their habits from trip to trip. They put phones on the table, bags under the pillow, keep documents, money, other valuables not on them, leave them unattended, in the pockets of outerwear, and other easily accessible places. And also, due to the breadth of the Russian soul, they do not refuse to drink together - for acquaintance. Even without police statistics, it is clear that our citizens still travel "by chance." And while some hope that "it will pass," others "earn." It is easier than easy to become a victim of criminals at the station or on the train. It is enough to lose vigilance for a moment, leave things unattended, or doze off at the wrong moment. The attackers will not miss their chance. They steal everything that lies badly. As a rule, from careless passengers.

Do not consume alcohol before or during your trip, relying on the conscience of your fellow travelers. For example, a passenger on the "Baranovichi-Vitebsk" train had money, a mobile phone, and other property stolen from her handbag. The criminal took advantage of the passenger's temporary absence, who, leaving the compartment to smoke, left her handbag on the table. At the same time, the victim had previously been drinking alcoholic beverages with him in the compartment.

Passengers do not always check their belongings before approaching the final destination, forget them, or leave them unattended for a short time. A passenger on the "Krichev-Orsha" suburban train forgot his bag with belongings when leaving the carriage. Another passenger traveling in the same carriage took advantage of this and stole the aforementioned bag. In June of last year, a bag with belongings left unattended in the carriage was stolen from one of the passengers on the "Krasnoe-Orsha" regional train.

The train station is a place of increased criminal danger, where there are many "easy clients" - inattentive people. Here you should not leave your belongings unattended or entrust them to people sitting in

in the waiting room. Thieves are not necessarily among them. But with your careless behavior, you yourself can push greedy and avaricious people, who do not mind profiting at someone else's expense, towards theft. In the current year, a mobile phone fell out of the jacket pocket of a citizen who fell asleep in the waiting room for transit passengers at the railway station, which was taken advantage of by a criminal present at the station, who stole the aforementioned phone. Similarly, a wallet with money, which fell from the jacket pocket onto the seat of a sleeping passenger, was stolen. On the "Saint Petersburg-Gomel" train, a backpack with its contents was stolen from a sleeping passenger. In the current year, on the "Minsk-Orsha" regional train, a passenger's backpack with belongings was also stolen.

You should also be wary of those who ask you to use your mobile phone. In November of last year, at the railway station, one of the criminals, taking advantage of the fact that the victim, who handed him the mobile phone to make a call, diverted his attention and was not watching his actions, secretly stole the aforementioned phone.

In all the above-mentioned cases, the criminals were brought to criminal responsibility for the secret theft of property committed. However, unfortunately, for not all thefts of personal property of citizens at stations and on trains have the perpetrators been identified, and the damage to the victims has not been compensated. It is the careless behavior of citizens that is the reason for theft. Be vigilant, and your belongings will always remain with you. And in general, the tactic of preserving property on trains and at stations is reduced to the old saying: the further you put it, the closer you will take it. Remember that ensuring the safety of personal property is the duty of the passengers themselves.
