The environmental situation in Ruba and the modernization of the enterprise were discussed at JSC "Dolomit"

About a hundred people gathered for a meeting with the enterprise management and the Zheleznodorozhny district. General Director Sergey Soglasayev explained what is currently happening in production, what problems exist, and how the control system is set up, including from an environmental perspective.

The head of the administration of the Zheleznodorozhny district, Alexander Sysoev, visited the workshops of OAO, where he familiarized himself with the progress of the reconstruction of technological line No. 3 for the production of powdered products, the operation of the aspiration system, and the measures being taken to reduce emissions.

Currently, the reconstruction of the third technological line of the key workshop No. 7 is in full swing at the enterprise. It involves replacing the aspiration system, which will reduce dust emissions and improve the environmental situation in Rube. The work is planned to be completed this year.

– Representatives of the Chinese company are supervising the installation and assembly of equipment; the assembly and installation itself are carried out by the company "Plissastroy" and the enterprise "Promtekhmontazh". This year, new aspiration equipment will be installed on technological lines No. 1 and No. 2. Thus, there will be three technological lines with high productivity and a high degree of dust purification, – noted the head of workshop No. 7, Dmitry Kudryashov.

Today, the city-forming enterprise faces the task of modernization without stopping production and preserving jobs.

With the start of the reconstruction of technological line No. 3, the number of inspections and monitoring has increased here. Emission volumes are constantly monitored by environmental specialists. Seven sampling points have been identified.

According to Dmitry Kobelev, First Deputy General Director – Chief Engineer, after the commissioning of the new technological line No. 3 for the production of powdered products, as well as the replacement of aspiration systems on two other lines, 60% - 70% of the enterprise's total output will be produced. Therefore, the environmental situation will significantly improve for the better.

This topic became one of the main ones at the meeting with the public. Natalia Khodyush, Deputy Director for Educational Work at Secondary School No. 15 in Vitebsk named after M.Ya. Chumanikhina, noted that residents are concerned about dust in Ruba and its surroundings, and this topic is periodically raised on social media.

– The dustiness of the territory at this stage, the reconstruction at the enterprise where a new line and new filters are being installed are being discussed. Due to the lack of rain, we feel the problem more acutely. For the most part, the residents of Ruba react with understanding, realizing that they need to wait for some period of time until the reconstruction is completed. We see that the enterprise is huge, and modernization is not done in one day or even two months. I think it is not working at full capacity even now, in order to carry out the process, treating the local residents more carefully, – said Natalia Khodyush.

Among other issues discussed at the meeting were the organization of recreation areas for swimming, the future of the Palace of Culture in Ruba, and landscaping.
