Issues of operational-search activity and publicity were discussed at a seminar in the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office

A training seminar on issues of supervising the enforcement of legislation in the conduct of operational-search activities and on publicity at the local level was held at the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.

All city and district prosecutors of the region, as well as employees of the regional apparatus, took part in the event.

During the seminar, the coordinating role of the prosecutor in the interaction of law enforcement agencies at the stage of initiating a criminal case was noted. Particular attention was paid to the quality and effectiveness of supervising preliminary investigations at the local level.

Issues of organizing and maintaining secret record-keeping in the prosecutor's offices of cities and districts of the region were also considered, and relevant thematic tests were taken.

In addition to considering the issues outlined, special attention was paid to prosecutors on the implementation of the principle of publicity in the work of the district level, the popularization of a law-abiding lifestyle among the population of the Vitebsk region, enhancing the authority and forming a positive image of the prosecutor's offices through the media.

Problematic aspects arising in the primary accounting of work done on publicity were discussed, examples were given, and specific tasks were set for improving this activity at the local level.

Following the training event, prosecutors exchanged views and practical experience in these areas.
