Has everything been done for security?
In connection with the instruction of the Prosecutor of the Vitebsk region, V.V. Sushchinsky, in order to prevent accidents involving children, due to frequent storm warnings and strong gusts of wind, prosecutors in the field have analyzed the safety status of children's inflatable attractions.
It was established that in 2017, activities involving such attractions were carried out in 15 regions of the oblast out of 23, with almost three dozen commercial structures and individual entrepreneurs participating.
In general, in the regions of the Vitebsk oblast, work has been organized to ensure the safety of these attractions by entrepreneurs and organizations.
However, in the Braslav, Vitebsk, and Ushachi districts, and the cities of Vitebsk and Polotsk, violations of safety requirements that threaten the life and health of children were identified – attempts to operate equipment without technical inspection, operation with improper equipment fastening, failure to ensure electrical equipment safety, absence of first aid and fire-fighting equipment, necessary technical control documentation, etc.
Based on the results of this analysis of the enforcement of legislation on the safety of inflatable attractions, prosecutors have suspended the operation of an unsafe attraction in the Braslav district, and have also prepared 3 orders and 2 submissions. The issue of the possibility of making proposals to improve legislation on child safety for these types of attractions is being considered.
