All that is secret will eventually become known

By the verdict of the court of the Rossony district, L., a former cashier of the canteen of the Polotsk carriage depot, was sentenced to 4 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property and deprivation of the right to hold positions of material responsibility related to material assets for a period of 5 years. For almost 4 years (from 2013 to 2017), she monthly embezzled property of the carriage depot by misappropriation and embezzlement of entrusted goods and materials, causing a total damage of over 38 thousand rubles, which is a particularly large amount.

By the same verdict, under Part 1 of Article 427 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus (official forgery), her friend A., an accountant of the canteen, was convicted. All this time, together with L., she helped to conceal the emerging shortage by entering false information into accounting documents.

A criminal case against the said persons was initiated by the Vitebsk transport prosecutor after repeated annulments of decisions to refuse to initiate a criminal case by the Polotsk District Department of Internal Affairs, whose employees, due to improper pre-investigation checks, could not identify the commission of a serious crime, which allowed the guilty persons to remain unpunished.
